By using AsyncRacing you agree to these terms. They are short because the game is simple: record real passes in legal places, race the corrected numbers, don't cheat, and never take any of this to a public road.
AsyncRacing builds asynchronous races from real measured acceleration data. Your phone's GPS and accelerometer are fused into your car's acceleration curve; runs are corrected to a standard atmosphere ("same air") so different days race fairly; disciplines include standing starts (0–60 through the quarter-mile and beyond) and rolling intervals (60–130 mph). Nobody meets anyone: cars are recorded curves, replayed. The only live element is your reaction on the tree.
Runs belong on a drag strip or on genuinely private, closed land with the owner's permission — and only when it is safe and lawful. When you record, you attest to where you are and that recording is legal and safe there; ranking is available only for sanctioned strips and attested private/closed courses. A public-road run is never scored, never ranked, and never leaves your phone — and marking a public road as private land to rank a street pull is a violation of these terms, not a loophole. Never operate a phone while driving: mount it, arm it before you move, or have a passenger run the app. Do not use AsyncRacing to time, score, organize, or encourage street racing. Motorsport is dangerous; you are solely responsible for your vehicle, your driving, your passengers, and compliance with every law and venue rule that applies to you. You assume all risk of driving. AsyncRacing and its maker are not responsible for any injury, death, damage, citation, or other consequence arising from how you drive.
You must be at least 13 to use the app, and old enough to form a binding agreement (or have a parent or guardian accept these terms for you). Any vehicle recorded must be operated by a licensed driver, lawfully, at a venue where the activity is permitted. The beta is provided through Apple TestFlight and is also subject to Apple's terms.
You are responsible for activity on your account. Your handle, car names, and descriptions must not impersonate others or contain unlawful or abusive content. When you save a rankable run, you grant us a non-exclusive license to store, process, and display that run and its derived numbers (times, class, index, results) in the game — leaderboards, race rooms, callouts, and aggregate statistics. Delete your account and that license ends; your server data is deleted with it.
The entire point of AsyncRacing is that numbers are measured, so manufacturing numbers is the one unforgivable foul. The server independently re-derives every submitted run from its raw samples and runs integrity checks (sensor cross-checks, physical-envelope checks, device attestation, consistency requirements). We may reject, quarantine, retroactively void, or re-grade any run, and may suspend or permanently remove accounts, cars, or results that in our judgment involve falsified telemetry, tampered devices, spoofed sensors, misdeclared venues or vehicles, or any other attempt to manipulate rankings. Anti-cheat decisions are ours and final; ranked eligibility is a privilege of clean data, not a right.
Phone-measured telemetry is honest but not certified. Every number carries measurement uncertainty (shown where it matters as a ± band), corrections are model-based, and practice-tier or UNVERIFIED results are labeled for feel, not proof. AsyncRacing is not a certified timing system or legal measurement device: do not rely on its numbers for insurance, warranty, legal, or safety-critical purposes.
The app is pre-release. Things will change, break, and occasionally reset — including, potentially, server-side data such as runs, rankings, and race history. We make no commitment that beta progress carries into any future release.
Do not reverse-engineer, probe, overload, or disrupt the service; do not access other users' data; do not automate submissions or scrape leaderboards; do not use the service to violate any law.
The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. To the maximum extent the law allows, AsyncRacing and its maker are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill; our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the past twelve months (currently: nothing) or fifty US dollars. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limits, so parts of this may not apply to you.
You will defend and hold harmless AsyncRacing and its maker from claims arising out of your driving, your recordings, your content, or your breach of these terms.
You can stop using the service anytime; deleting your account removes your server data. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms, especially the safety and fair-play sections.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest stands. These terms plus the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the service.
We may update these terms; for material changes we'll note it in the app or on this page with the date above updated. Continued use after an update means you accept it.
